[Webinar] Indian Ocean: land of challenges and innovations for humanitarian actors

The PISSARO project, in the person of Sylvie Malardel, will participate in the round table “Indian Ocean: land of challenges and innovations for humanitarian actors” organised by the French Red Cross Foundation and broadcasted as a webinar. It will take place on Tuesday 12 October from 5pm to 6.30pm (Paris time; UTC +2h). It is part of a series of webinars entitled “L’Instant recherche”. In a round table context, specialists exchange freely to open up reflection and encourage the emergence of innovative models of action.

This 5^th “Instant recherche” will bring together a representative of the PIROI (Regional Intervention Platform for the Indian Ocean of the French Red Cross) and researchers from various fields (anthropology, sociology, psychology). Sylvie Malardel will bring her insights as a meteorology researcher and coordinator of the PISSARO project. This webinar will highlight the efforts made by different humanitarian actors to adapt their programmes to the specificities of the Indian Ocean region and will present initiatives resulting from collaborations between humanitarian actors and scientists.
